IDnow is seeking a Senior QA Engineer in Rennes to lead automated testing for our AI/ML identity verification systems. You will design tests, work with data scientists and software engineers, and ensure releases are production-ready within a CI/CD framework.

You will collaborate across R&D, contribute to quality strategies, and help raise the QA bar while communicating fluently in English and French. This role offers a hybrid setup with opportunities to work across European teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA and test automation for complex systems.
• Hands-on Python for automation (pytest, Locust).
• Experience with AI/ML systems (model testing, data validation).
• CI/CD expertise (GitLab CI or equivalent).
• Experience in API testing (Postman, REST Assured).
• Strong root-cause analysis skills.
• Fluent in English and French.

As a Senior QA Engineer , you will play a key role in the reliability and robustness of our AI/ML-based identity verification services. You will work day-to-day alongside our data scientists, researchers, and software engineers to design test strategies that match the complexity of our systems.

This role is also central to our delivery chain: you will be a key player in our CI/CD pipeline , ensuring every release is production-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated tests in Python
• Debug complex components related to AI/ML models and distributed architectures
• Own and improve our CI/CD pipeline (GitLab CI): test integration, deployment management, and continuous improvement
• Work closely with the R&D team to anticipate quality risks from the design stage
• Identify, document, and track bugs throughout their full lifecycle
• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to high-quality releases
• Share best practices and raise the QA bar across teams

Preferred Experience

• 3+ years of experience in QA and test automation on complex systems
• Strong hands-on skills in Python for automation (pytest, Locust, etc.)
• Experience working with AI/ML systems (model testing, data pipeline validation, etc.)
• Solid expertise in CI/CD : building, maintaining, and improving pipelines (GitLab CI or equivalent)
• Experience in API testing (Postman, REST Assured, or similar)
• Ability to dive deep into complex code to find the root cause of a bug — you don't wait to be guided, you dig in
• Autonomous, analytical mindset with a taste for technically demanding environments
• Fluent English and French (written and spoken)
