Job summary

White Circle is seeking a QA Engineer to join our manual-first QA team, testing the web platform and APIs in rapid release cycles and shaping test plans while reporting reproducible bugs.

Hybrid role based in Paris or London, with relocation support to Paris and strong emphasis on Playwright-based automation using Python, CI/CD integration, and clear cross-team communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in QA automation, including building frameworks from scratch.
• Strong Playwright experience for E2E UI testing.
• Clean Python automation code (pytest, fixtures, parametrize).
• Hands-on CI/CD integration (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar).
• Practical use of AI coding agents and LLM-powered developer tools in testing workflows.
• Fluent English and clear communication.
• Based in or relocating to Paris or London (hybrid).

Responsibilities

• Identify high-risk areas, run exploratory, smoke, regression, and integration testing, and provide release feedback.
• Write concise test plans and checklists, investigate unexpected behavior, and file reproducible bug reports.

We're looking for a QA Engineer to join White Circle, an AI Safety company building the policy enforcement and optimization layer for AI systems. Backed by $11M from senior leaders at OpenAI, Anthropic, HuggingFace, Mistral, and DeepMind, White Circle processes 100M+ API calls monthly and runs its own LLMs in production. This is a manual-first product QA role, with automation as a key tool.

You will

• Manually test new features and fixes across the web platform and APIs in fast release cycles, sometimes as short as one working day.
• Identify the highest-risk areas, run exploratory, smoke, regression, and integration testing, and give clear release feedback.
• Write concise test plans and checklists, investigate unexpected behavior, and file reproducible bug reports.
• Work with engineers and product owners to clarify requirements and improve testability before development is complete.
• Automate stable, business-critical flows with Playwright and Python, and integrate them into CI/CD.

Requirements

• 2+ years in QA automation, including building frameworks from scratch.
