Job summary

Ōura is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Test Engineer to own test strategy, automation, and quality across iOS, Android, and cloud services. You will lead end-to-end testing, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvements in testing capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of proven experience designing, building, and executing automated tests for complex applications.
• End-to-end testing across embedded firmware, mobile apps and cloud services.
• Experience testing health, wearable or data-driven applications with sensor/time-series data.
• Experience validating wireless device-to-mobile syncing and reliability.
• Proficiency in Python for test automation and tooling.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans for end-to-end features across mobile apps, backend services and data/algorithmic solutions.
• Define testing objectives, scope, and success criteria for onboarding, sleep/readiness insights, activity tracking, notifications, and subscriptions.
• Collaborate with Product, Science, and Firmware teams to understand feature requirements and privacy considerations.
• Execute manual and automated tests; analyze results and report defects clearly.
• Validate data flow and algorithm accuracy; ensure insights match inputs.
• Perform regression, integration, and exploratory testing across platforms; monitor coverage.
• Implement, maintain and enhance test automation frameworks; integrate in CI/CD pipelines.
• Advocate for QA best practices and mentor junior testers.
• Explore AI-driven testing approaches and performance testing.
