Job summary

Kforce is hiring a Senior QA Analyst/QA Engineer for Bridge City, TX to support government bridge management software. The role collaborates with product owners, quality testers, civil engineers, and developers to ensure quality across functional, regression, and cross-browser testing.

Responsibilities include writing test plans, performing exploratory testing, logging defects with detailed repro steps, and verifying fixes with regression passes before releases.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in software QA, with substantial experience testing complex web applications.
• Strong grasp of QA methodologies, the SDLC, and Agile/Scrum practice.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data setup and verification.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (Jira).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; Able to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to write thorough test cases from ambiguous or incomplete requirements.

Responsibilities

• Write, maintain, and execute detailed test plans and test cases covering functional, regression, integration, cross-browser, and mobile-responsive testing.
• Perform exploratory testing to surface issues that scripted cases miss.
• Log clear, reproducible defects with steps, expected vs. actual results, environment details, and supporting evidence.
• Investigate issues to root cause and triage severity/priority in partnership with engineering and product.
• Verify fixes and run regression passes before release sign-off.
