Job summary

AHS American Home Shield Corp is seeking a Quality Engineer to partner with product managers, developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software. You will validate functionality, performance, and user experience through manual and automated testing, and help drive testing excellence across the organization.

The role emphasizes QA automation, CI/CD integration, and continuous improvement, with a focus on scaling test coverage and maintaining robust test data and environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and executing functional test plans.
• Strong UI automation capabilities and framework knowledge.
• Experience testing REST APIs and protobuf-based services.
• Ability to build and integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Java (or similar language) and SQL.
• Understanding of STLC and defect lifecycle processes.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test strategies for release quality.
• Create test cases with clear traceability to requirements.
• Investigate defects by reviewing logs and system behavior.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites to improve coverage.
• Collaborate with PMs, developers, and stakeholders across the SDLC.
• Drive improvements in testing processes, tools, and practices.
• Monitor testing progress and release readiness; report metrics.
• Support test data management and environment setup; CI/CD integration.
• Mentor teammates to promote quality and continuous learning.
