Job summary

Hubnest Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure our four products meet high operational standards. You will design and execute comprehensive test plans, automate API tests, and document defects linked to requirements.

Collaborate with backend/frontend teams to shift testing left, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and perform extensive regression testing before releases. A strong analytical mindset and experience with Jira/TestRail are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience writing automated UI test scripts utilizing Cypress or Playwright.
• 3+ years of automated API testing workflows using Postman, Insomnia, or SoapUI.
• 3+ years of experience writing SQL queries to manually verify backend database integrity.
• 2+ years of integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• 3+ years of documenting test cases and managing defect lifecycles using Jira and TestRail.
• 2+ years of load, stress, and performance testing using JMeter or k6.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute manual and automated test plans for new features across four products.
• Automate backend API testing to validate data payloads and status codes.
• Document reproducible bug reports in Jira linked to product requirements.
• Collaborate with backend and frontend engineers to shift QA testing left.
• Maintain and scale the continuous testing pipeline within CI/CD to block failing deployments.
• Perform edge-case and boundary testing reflecting remote field operations.
• Analyze server logs and DB entries to verify data integrity after frontend actions.
• Track defect rates, test coverage, and bug resolution velocity for leadership.
• Configure and manage staging environments with sanitized production data.
• Conduct regression testing cycles before major releases.
