Job summary

AHS American Home Shield Corp in the United States is seeking a Quality Engineer to partner with Product Managers, Developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, reliable software. You will validate functionality, performance, and user experience through manual and automated testing.

The ideal candidate has strong testing skills, API testing experience, UI automation, and the ability to build test frameworks that integrate with CI/CD, while mentoring teammates and advancing

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, and execute test strategies (functional, smoke, regression, integration, performance).

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites and frameworks for better coverage.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC to ensure quality in releases.
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate testing progress and release readiness to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to test data management, environment setup, and CI/CD pipeline integration.
  • Mentor team members and promote a culture of quality and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

Summary :As a Quality Engineer (QE), you will partner closely with Product Managers, Developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable software solutions. You will play a key role in validating product functionality, performance, and user experience through a combination of manual and automated testing practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test strategies, including functional, smoke, regression, integration, and performance testing.

  • Create and maintain test cases with clear traceability to business requirements and technical specifications.

  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and analyze software defects by reviewing application behavior, logs, and system integrations.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites and frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure quality is built into every release.

  • Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies, and drive quality engineering best practices.

  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate testing progress, quality metrics, and release readiness to stakeholders.

  • Contribute to test data management, environment setup, and CI/CD pipeline integration.

  • Mentor team members and promote a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

Required Skills: ****

  • Strong hands-on experience in functional testing, including test planning, test case design, execution, and defect management.

  • Proven experience with UI test automation and a solid understanding of automation frameworks and best practices.

  • Experience testing REST APIs and protobuf-based services, including automation of API test scenarios.

  • Demonstrated ability to design and build test automation frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Strong programming and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Java preferred (other modern programming languages are also considered).

  • Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and data validation techniques.

  • Solid understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle processes.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Preferred Skills: ****

  • Experience with performance testing, load testing, and DevOps practices.

  • Foundational knowledge of Agentic AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and their applications in software quality engineering and testing.

  • Experience testing AI-enabled applications, machine learning models, or intelligent systems.

  • Salesforce Administration expertise, including user management, security and access controls, reports and dashboards, workflow automation, and platform configuration.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern software delivery practices.

Other/State Specific

This role pays between $103,000/Yr to $120,000/Yr, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
