Job summary

KIEFER is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our established QA practice and scale quality across Sophea products. You will perform hands-on test automation and own QA processes, CI quality gates, test reporting, and defect visibility while collaborating with multiple product and engineering teams.

You will review test suites, identify quality risks, and improve testing across frontend, backend, APIs, and AI-powered features, including methods to validate AI outputs.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of QA or test engineering experience with strong hands-on automation.
• Experience testing Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Java apps using pytest, Vitest, Playwright or similar.
• Strong understanding of unit, integration, API, and end-to-end testing in production environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated quality gates, test reporting, and reviewing test suites.
• Active use of AI tools and agents in QA, with ability to critically review results.
• High autonomy, strong communication, and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated tests for frontend, backend, and API services.
• Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end test coverage.
• Improve CI quality gates, test reporting, and defect visibility.
• Review test suites to identify coverage gaps and reduce flaky tests.
• Develop methods for validating AI-generated output using mock and real model interactions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve testing practices and support production-ready releases.
