Job summary

Healthie is an AI-enabled, HIPAA-compliant EHR platform serving outpatient healthcare. Healthie seeks a Senior QA Engineer to elevate testing across a large, complex system and to drive automation using Playwright and AI-assisted tooling.

You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers across NYC/LA in a hybrid setting, focusing on end-to-end quality for critical physician and patient experiences.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of QA experience with bug-finding track record.
• Empathy for real users and advocacy for the user experience.
• Strong testing instincts, edge-case identification, adversarial thinking.
• Fast learner of new features and domains with critical mindset.
• Ability to balance thoroughness with fast-paced delivery.
• Fluent in API testing, GraphQL, and logs/codebase exploration.
• Proficient in Playwright and test automation; comfortable with AI tools.
• Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines and release tooling.
• Experience testing AI/ML systems and probabilistic outputs.
• HIPAA compliance knowledge and PHI handling awareness.
• Familiarity with Claude Code or similar agentic coding tools.
• This is a full-time, hybrid position in NYC or LA.
• U.S. work authorization is required; no sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing strategy and collaborate with engineers, product managers and designers.
• Contribute to testing of API and GraphQL endpoints; explore logs and code paths.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright and AI-assisted tooling.
• Set up and refine CI/CD pipelines and release-process tooling.
• Test AI/ML components, NLP outputs, transcription accuracy, or probabilistic models.
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of PHI within software.
