Job summary

Ambry Genetics is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to embed with Agile Scrum teams, designing and maintaining automated UI, API, and data-validation test frameworks in Java and Python. You will drive CI/CD test execution, own regression suites, and ensure HIPAA/SOX compliance while improving quality across in-house software.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate on risk assessments, and help validate deployments in production and lower environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software QA with 5+ years of test automation.
• Hands-on UI automation with Playwright or Selenium.
• API testing with REST Assured, Postman or similar.
• Experience in CI/CD environments and test reporting.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HL7 and FHIR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated tests for UI, API, and databases.
• Own regression suites and CI/CD integrations.
• Test for HIPAA and SOX compliance and traceability to requirements.
• Analyze results and triage failures; report root causes.
• Validate night deployments and post-deployment health.
• Maintain traceability from requirements to tests and results.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and assist internal users.
