Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT seeks a Quality Assurance Representative for an alternate shift (Thu-Sun, 4 ten-hour days). The role supports SEP programs (SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, FBW-SCS) and ensures adherence to quality requirements across facilities.

You will review reentry control and installation records, provide technical support, and collaborate with test, inspection, design, NAVSEA, and QA teams to resolve issues and improve quality processes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in a QA role or 5+ years QA at Electric Boat, or 5+ years with Special Emphasis paperwork.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, and FBW SCS certification requirements.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Must be able to work alternate schedule including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Review & certify reentry control & initial installation records for SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, LEVEL 1 and FBW/SCS material to support ship key events & delivery.
• Provide SEP technical support & problem resolution.
• Interface regularly with test, inspection, and trade personnel, Design and Construction Engineering, HII-NNS Quality counterparts, NAVSEA and Supervisor of Shipbuilding personnel
• Must be able to read and interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Assist with internal & external investigations into Quality matters.
• Assist in review, modification, and implementation of Quality procedures.
• Perform Quality related drawing and specification reviews.
• Provide support for NAVSEA audits (e.g. Phase 1, Phase II, Functional, and NAVSEA 08)
