Job summary

• 7+ years experience in SDET/QA automation.

Job Description

An employer is looking for a Senior SDET to sit remote. You will primarily be owning, leading, and building out automation testing for the client’s backend, portal, and staff web environment. Initially, you will evaluate the current landscape and determine the areas that can be impacted the most by automating their test environment. In addition, you will continue to build out the automation footprint and optimize the test environment/ strategy. You will partner closely with engineering and contribute to the UI and API test automation while leveraging tools like Playwright/ Pytest/ Jest, etc. You will write Playwright as first class product code, not after the fact checklists. You will own CICD test automation aspects related to GitHub Actions, GitHub Runners, PR jobs, artifacts, secrets, flake quarantine, etc. You will debug locators, waits, and data instead of re-running. Additional tasks will include reviewing PRs for acceptance critieria, optimize areas where automation is missing, regression risk, and designing a thin E2E layer to push coverage down to the API/unit.

7+ years experience in SDET/ QA automationExperience building out and owning automation environments/ strategyWell versed with Playwright + JS/ TS, Pytest, and JestStrong experience owning pipeline automation/ CICD aspects- GitHub Actions, Gitlab runnings, PR jobs, artifacts, etc.Experience leading flake hunting, code review, test audit/ optimizationUI and API test automation experienceAI first approach- Able to leverage Agentic tools, etc.Cursor experiencePython FastAPI, Next.js
