Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior SDET – QA Automation (Playwright & Selenium) to design and implement scalable test automation that boosts quality and accelerates releases. You will collaborate with analysts, developers, product owners, DevOps, and others to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Preferred candidates have 7+ years with Playwright/Selenium, Java for framework development, and experience with AccelQ, Cypress, and Cucumber.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Selenium.
• Proficiency in Java for test automation framework development.
• Experience with AccelQ, Cypress, and Cucumber.
• Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience in test case design, execution, defect management, and quality assurance best practices.
• Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright and Selenium.
• Build and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test automation across multiple applications.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster releases.
• Analyze test results and partner with development teams to drive defect resolution.
• Improve automation coverage, framework reusability, and testing efficiency through process improvements.
