Job summary

Cognizant is hiring a Senior SDET – QA Automation (Playwright & Selenium) to design and implement scalable test automation that improves software quality and accelerates releases. You will collaborate with analysts, developers, product owners, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive coverage and high-quality delivery.

The role emphasizes remote work for applicants in the United States, with flexibility and a focus on continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Selenium automation.
• Proficient in Java for test framework development and maintenance.
• Experience with AccelQ, Cypress, and Cucumber.
• Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience in test design, execution, defect management and QA best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright and Selenium.
• Build and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests across applications.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Analyze results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
• Improve automation coverage, framework reusability, and quality metrics.
