Job summary

Capgemini seeks a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Core Java, Selenium, REST Assured, and CI/CD integration. The candidate will build UI and API automation, craft reliable XPath/CSS selectors, and collaborate with QA and development teams to raise product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and Test Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java.
• Deep understanding of: Collections Framework; Exception Handling; OOP Concepts; Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Extensive experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java.
• Proven ability to independently create and troubleshoot XPath locators.
• Strong experience with REST Assured for API automation.
• Experience designing and implementing automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing enterprise frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test solutions using Core Java, Selenium, and REST Assured.
• Write efficient, scalable Java code utilizing OOP concepts, Collections, and Exception Handling.
• Build and enhance UI and API automation frameworks to improve test coverage and quality.
• Create and maintain reliable XPath/CSS selectors and UI automation scripts.
• Design and execute API automation tests and integrate them into existing frameworks.
• Support framework architecture, execution strategies, reporting, and test data management.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines and drive automation best practices.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve testing efficiency and product quality.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
