Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a senior QA automation lead in the United States to guide a hands-on team, design robust Selenium-Java frameworks, and drive end-to-end automation initiatives. You will collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases and scalable automation solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in Java/Selenium and 3+ years in API testing, CI/CD, and test automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Java and Selenium WebDriver.
• 3+ years of API testing with Rest Assured, Postman or SoapUI.
• 3+ years with TestNG, JUnit or Cucumber (BDD).
• 3+ years CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab.
• 3+ years experience with Git, Jira, Confluence, Maven or Gradle.
• 2+ years testing microservices/REST APIs and end-to-end workflows.
• Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC, Agile/Scrum, and automation frameworks.
• Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling) is a plus.
• Knowledge of security testing/contract testing/service virtualization (preferred).
• Exposure to AI-enabled testing tools and frameworks (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the QA automation team while hands-on as a contributor.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Selenium-Java automation frameworks.
• Define automation strategy, standards, and best practices.
• Drive end-to-end automation initiatives as a technical lead.
• Review automation code, test cases, and test strategy.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure quality delivery.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and support release activities.
• Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and conduct code reviews.
