Job summary

State Street’s CRD unit is seeking a senior automation engineer to join the QA Infrastructure team. You will build and maintain automated test frameworks, design test strategies, and drive automated product validation across web, desktop, API, and batch applications.

The role requires a strong Java background, extensive SQL data validation skills, and experience in agile software development. Financial services domain knowledge is a plus and a MS degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years of experience in software testing within a process-driven technology environment.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming for developing and maintaining automated test scripts.
• Advanced SQL skills for data validation, debugging.
• Hands‑on experience in designing, implementing, and executing automated test scripts for web, desktop, API, and batch applications.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Scrum team members to carry out software quality responsibilities.
• Create comprehensive test automation scripts from requirements and specs for moderately complex features.
• Execute manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.
• Maintain automated and manual test script libraries for various testing types.
• Guide and mentor junior staff in creating automated test scripts.
