Job summary

State Street is seeking a QA Automation Engineer II to join a Scrum team and drive the quality plan for a product. You will develop comprehensive automation scripts, execute tests, and maintain test libraries while aligning with SDLC, security, and data governance practices.

You will collaborate with peers to improve QA methodologies and explore AI-driven automation, delivering high-quality, scalable testing solutions in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or foreign equivalent in a technical field.
• 4–7 years in software testing in a process-driven tech environment.
• Experience turning requirements into automated tests and testing REST APIs and Web UI.

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive test automation scripts from requirements for moderately complex features.
• Execute manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.
• Maintain automation libraries for functional/integration/regression tests.
• Align with SDLC, information security and data governance practices.
• Document defects and communicate issues with developers.
• Provide testing leadership and explore new automation approaches including AI.
• Participate in daily standups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with scrum master, product owner, and developers on QA activities.
