Job summary

NuAxis Innovations seeks a Senior IT Tester - Level IV to lead test strategy for legacy modernization in federal IT projects. You will own functional, regression, integration, migration parity, accessibility, security, and performance testing across releases.

The role emphasizes automated frameworks, Cypress/Web UI automation, API testing, and CI/CD integration in GitLab. You will mentor teams, ensure release readiness, and deliver evidence-based QA artifacts for government reviews.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software quality assurance with 4+ years in test automation.
• Hands-on framework development for enterprise web apps.
• Strong SQL for backend and migration validation.
• API testing experience with REST patterns.
• Section 508/WCAG testing with assistive tech and tools.
• CI/CD integration of automated tests, GitLab CI or equivalent.
• Agile/Scrum delivery and rigorous defect management.
• Advanced Cypress experience and framework architecture.
• JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation development.
• Experience with Drupal/.NET apps, complex forms, data-driven workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the master test strategy and test plans for multiple testing domains.
• Design and automate regression suites and API test suites integrated into CI/CD.
• Execute data migration validation and ensure parity across releases.
• Perform accessibility testing and document remediation requirements.
• Conduct performance/load testing and report against service levels.
• Support security testing activities and collect evidence for assessments.
• Manage defect lifecycle in Jira and drive release-readiness decisions.
• Coordinate UAT with business stakeholders and ensure traceability.
• Lead QA automation strategy with Cypress as a primary tool and CI integration.
• Integrate test automation into GitLab pipelines with gates and reporting.
