Job summary

CTIS, Inc. is seeking an Automation Software Tester / QA Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated tests for clinical trial management apps. You will work in a hybrid Rockville, MD environment, collaborating with DevOps and cloud engineers.

The role emphasizes automated test script development, API and UI testing, and integration into CI/CD pipelines. A strong background in Agile DevOps and AWS is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software testing experience, including both manual and automated testing.
• 2+ years of hands-on automation testing experience.
• Proficiency with Selenium, Java, TestNG, Cucumber, Gherkin, Jira, Xray.
• Experience setting up, optimizing, and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Understanding of ATDD and related practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Bamboo and Bitbucket.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases and suites for web, API, and mobile contexts.
• Create automated tests for REST/SOAP/GraphQL services and validate contracts and security.
• Integrate UI and API automation into CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments (AWS).
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to improve quality engineering.
• Identify defects and provide actionable remediation guidance; track issues with logs and monitoring.
