Job summary

TransCore, a ST Engineering subsidiary, in Round Rock, Texas, is seeking a Sr. Software QA Engineer, Test Automation to join our QA Automation team.

You will design and maintain scalable automation for Web UI, API, and backend validation, and help integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines across cloud-based services.

This senior role requires hands-on experience with Playwright/Selenium/Cypress, Java or Python, and a mindset of automation-first delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 8–12 years of QA experience with strong automation background.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks from scratch.
• Web UI and API automation experience using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, REST-assured, Postman/Newman, or similar.
• Experience with backend validation, SQL/data validation, integration testing, and transaction reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for Web UI, API, database validation, and integration testing.
• Build reusable automation components, utilities, reporting, test data handling, and execution standards.
• Coordinate with DevOps to integrate API, web, smoke, regression, and integration automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
