Job summary

Knox Systems in the United States seeks a QA/Test Engineer to design and implement automated test suites and the simulated environments they run in. You will work to ensure critical applications meet security and reliability standards.

The role requires hands-on automation in web and API testing, infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, containers, Kubernetes, and CI/CD with GitHub Actions, plus cloud experience with AWS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in QA or test engineering, including building an automation suite from scratch.
• Strong web and API test automation in TypeScript or a similar language.
• Hands-on DevOps: infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), containers, Kubernetes and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Working knowledge of AWS or another major cloud provider.
• Experience using AI tools in software development and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated tests for critical application flows.
• Use Terraform to build simulated test environments.
• Test application code every sprint and log bugs and feature gaps.
• Take part in the go/no-go call for each release.
• Track and report weekly on the team's progress and flag risks early.
• Help engineers plan tests and close coverage gaps.
