Overture Partners in the Greater Boston area is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer (SDET) to own automation across web applications, move testing earlier in delivery, and explore AI-driven testing approaches. This hands-on role emphasizes building robust frameworks and contributing to core automation strategy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software quality engineering or test automation.
• Strong Java skills with hands-on Selenium experience.
• Playwright experience (2+ years preferred).
• JavaScript/TypeScript knowledge.
• API test automation for REST and SOAP.
• Experience with TestNG/JUnit, Maven, Git, and SQL.
• CI/CD integration of automated tests (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Clear communication and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and extend reusable automation frameworks for complex web apps.
• Build and maintain UI regression suites in Selenium and Playwright.
• Automate API validation and error handling.
• Create performance tests with JMeter or similar tools.
• Integrate automated tests into the release pipeline to catch defects early.
• Analyze failures, manage test data, and report findings to developers.
• Define acceptance criteria and testing priorities with stakeholders.
• Explore AI-assisted test creation and maintenance.
• Mentor engineers and help set automation standards.
