Overture Partners is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design, evaluate, and implement a scalable test automation framework. Initial focus on Windows desktop/UI automation with future expansion to web UI, performance testing, and CI/CD workflows.

The role requires hands-on automation expertise, building automated test suites, and experience with languages such as C#, .NET, JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell. Onsite in Boston, collaboration across engineering teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing, supporting, or enhancing QA automation frameworks for Windows UI applications.
• Hands-on tests for Windows desktop and web-based apps.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies, tests, automation standards, metrics and best practices.
• Programming/scripting in C#, .NET, JavaScript, Python or PowerShell.
• Experience testing SaaS or cloud-hosted apps and understanding infra environments.
• Relational DBs and SQL for testing/data validation.
• Experience with a major cloud platform (AWS or Azure).
• Collaborate across engineering teams, mentor QA professionals, document standards, promote automation adoption.

Responsibilities

• Define automation technology stack, infrastructure, testing methodology, and requirements for a scalable framework.
• Evaluate platforms/tools via PoC, tech assessments, ROI analysis.
• Create reusable framework capabilities: object repos, logging, reporting, config mgmt, test data handling, test case integrations.
• Develop maintainable functional, regression, and smoke automation suites for Windows apps and extend to web apps.
• Enable parallel test execution and optimization to improve speed, reliability, and coverage.
• Establish coding standards, automation adoption criteria, error-handling, deterministic data practices, environment controls.
• Integrate automated testing with CI/CD, defect/test management, reporting, and artifact repositories.
• Automate test results/metrics for stakeholders on quality, status, and coverage.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, product owners to define testable requirements and priorities.
• Extend automation to web UI using Selenium and assess tools for web load/performance testing.
