Job summary

Overture Partners is seeking a detail-oriented QA Analyst to support background check applications. You will perform functional testing, data validation, production support, and workflow improvements. Strong SQL, test design, and familiarity with JIRA/Xray are essential in this role.

The position emphasizes collaboration with developers and staff to ensure data accuracy and reliable user experiences across the background screening domain.

Qualifications

• Structured software testing and validation against requirements.
• Querying databases to investigate defects and verify data integrity.
• Design, document and execute test scenarios including complex data.
• Familiarity with JIRA for defect tracking and test management.
• Understanding of automated testing techniques to improve coverage.
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
• Clear communication with developers, operations and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Execute functional and system testing to verify features meet specs.
• Plan and coordinate testing activities and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate defects and validate fixes.
• Prepare and maintain representative test data for workflows.
• Track defects and test results using JIRA and Xray.
• Apply SQL to validate data and support investigations.
• Support production incidents and coordinate problem resolution.
• Analyze business workflows to identify inefficiencies and gaps.
• Improve QA processes and testing approaches over time.
