Job summary

Fliff is seeking a Python Team Lead for the Integration group. You will oversee backend features, own end-to-end development, and drive robust integrations with KYC, geolocation, and payment partners using Python/Django.

You will lead a 3+ engineer team, implement observability, ensure test coverage, and collaborate with product teams to scope and deliver high-impact integrations. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of 3+ engineers.
• Proven Python development experience with API/integration focus.
• Strong understanding of webhooks, callbacks, idempotency, and failure handling.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for a Python team and take ownership of backend features from design to production.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and Django.
• Build and maintain integrations with external systems (KYC, geolocation, payments) and third-party services.
• Collaborate with product/engineering to scope and deliver new integrations.
• Implement observability across integration flows with monitoring and alerts.
• Write unit/integration tests to improve reliability and coverage.
• Support production issues and participate in on-call rotations.
