Job summary

Fliff Inc. is seeking a senior backend engineer to own backend features from design to production support. You will design and maintain scalable services in Python/Django and build integrations with KYC, geolocation, and payment partners.

You will work with product and engineering teams to scope new integrations, implement observability, and ensure reliability through testing and on-call rotations. Experience in sports/betting tech is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of development experience with Python as the primary language.
• Proven experience integrating third-party APIs with webhooks, callbacks, idempotency, and failure handling.
• Experience with observability tools to monitor and troubleshoot production integrations.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures and concurrency.
• Experience in architecture design of highly loaded and scalable solutions.
• Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle from requirements analysis to deployment.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
• Payments and KYC integrations are a plus.
• Experience in sports/betting industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of backend features and improvements, from design through implementation, deployment, and production support.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Python and Django.
• Build and maintain integrations with external systems, including KYC, geolocation, and payment partners, and other third-party services.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to scope and deliver new integrations.
• Implement observability across integration flows, including monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability, prevent regressions, and improve overall test coverage and testing practices.
• Support production issues and participate in on-call rotations.
