Job summary

Canonical is hiring a software engineer to join the Kubernetes product team. You will build operators and addons, providing lifecycle management for mission-critical components and a zero-ops experience for integrating projects into Kubernetes.

You will gain familiarity with the latest Kubernetes features, contribute open-source solutions, and collaborate with a global team of engineers. This is a remote role spanning EMEA and the Americas.

Qualifications

• Go or Python proficiency required.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, STEM or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in distributed teams and open-source software.

Responsibilities

• Write high‑quality code to create new features.
• Debug issues and interact with a vibrant community.
• Collaborate proactively with a distributed team.
• Work with engineers including experts in many fields.
• Participate in internal and external events with travel 2–4 weeks.
