Job summary

Fliff Inc. is seeking a senior Python engineer who can step into leadership while remaining hands-on. You’ll lead three backend developers working on payments, identity verification (KYC), location services, and other external integrations.

You’ll guide technical delivery, mentor teammates, and collaborate with product and partners to align priorities. The role emphasizes scalable design, reliable APIs, and on-call accountability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with Python as primary language.
• Hands-on production experience with payments or similar financial systems.
• Experience launching and supporting an integration and recovering transactions.
• Experience building reliable API and event-driven integrations.
• Experience designing scalable services and monitoring.
• Experience mentoring engineers and coordinating delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design and build integrations from requirements through deployment.
• Guide technical direction, perform reviews, mentor, and provide feedback.
• Work with product, engineering, and partners to set priorities.
• Improve integrations via testing, monitoring, logging, and documentation.
• Introduce engineering improvements and help teams adopt them.
• Investigate production issues and participate in on-call rotation.
