Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer Python GenAI to join the Corporate Sector's Model Delivery and Platform Engineering team. You will be a core technical contributor designing, building, and delivering trusted AI-enabled software in a secure, scalable environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Advanced development experience in Java or Python, with debugging/troubleshooting skills for complex production issues.
• Hands-on experience with AWS/other clouds and container platforms/orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience building scalable data processing and Big Data/ETL pipelines (e.g., Hortonworks, AWS-based solutions).
• Working knowledge of core infrastructure and ability to troubleshoot networking technologies/issues.

Responsibilities

• Designs, codes, tests, and delivers automation (including LLMs/agents) to streamline workstreams.
• Governs application risk, controls, and compliance; partners with Technology Risk & Controls and drives remediation.
• Owns security and data accountability for the application, ensuring proper data handling and access controls.
• Coordinates across product and engineering to prioritize and drive execution at scale for workstreams.
• Runs production services end-to-end with monitoring, incident management, and resilience readiness.
• Champions site reliability culture and practices within the team.
• Leads initiatives to improve reliability and performance using data-driven analytics.
• Documents and shares knowledge within the organization and promotes best practices.
