Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer Python GenAI to join the Model Delivery and Platform Engineering team in the Corporate Sector. You will design and implement automated solutions, ensure security and data accountability, and drive reliable production services at scale.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, coach developers, and promote AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and resiliency across complex systems.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Advanced development experience in Java or Python with debugging/troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on AWS/cloud and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS).
• Experience building scalable data processing and Big Data/ETL pipelines.
• Knowledge of core infrastructure and networking fundamentals.
• Deep proficiency in reliability, security, and toil reduction with SRE practices.
• Proficiency in monitoring/telemetry with Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk.
• Ability to learn new tech, teach others, and collaborate across teams.
• Strong foundations in software processes and data structures/algorithms.
• Experience using approved AI-assisted development tools and validating AI outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Designs, codes, tests, and delivers automation including LLMs/agents.
• Governs application risk, controls, and compliance with firm standards.
• Owns security and data accountability for the application.
• Coordinates across product and engineering to drive AO workstreams.
• Runs production services end-to-end with monitoring and incident management.
• Champions site reliability culture and practices within the team.
• Drives improvements to reliability and service levels using data.
• Collaborates to define service level indicators and budgets with stakeholders.
• Documents knowledge sharing within the organization.
• Drives adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices.
