Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a solid, hands-on Back-End Engineer to join our engineering team and lead application development for our next-generation operational platform. You will build an AI-enabled platform designed to improve production operations efficiency and reduce downtime through advanced analytics and intelligent automation on Azure, with Cosmos DB and enterprise identity integration.

Qualifications

• Production experience in back-end development with Python and .NET (C#).
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or similar Python web frameworks.
• Strong architectural skills for reliable, scalable services.
• Experience hosting applications on Azure with identity integration and monitoring.
• Familiarity with policy-driven cloud governance and compliance in enterprise environments.
• Experience with Cosmos DB or NoSQL databases.
• Experience integrating frontend apps with enterprise identity standards.

Responsibilities

• Own feature delivery from requirements to robust designs and implementation.
• Design and develop back-end services on Azure per enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with a small team on code reviews and delivery outcomes.
• Iterate rapidly with end users to deliver secure, scalable enhancements.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and maintain technical documentation in Azure DevOps.
