Job summary

Dotsoft is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Python stack) to lead the design and delivery of distributed applications for international and EU-funded projects, owning systems from architecture to UX.

You’ll architect microservices, build Python backends with FastAPI or Django, design data layers, and ship AI features while collaborating with frontend and DevOps teams. Strong Python/JS skills and experience with OpenAPI, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes are essential.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent proven background.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python skills with web frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask) and async patterns.
• Solid JavaScript/TypeScript skills with modern frameworks (React, Node.js, or Angular).
• Proficient with RESTful API design and OpenAPI/Swagger contracts.
• Comfortable with HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling approaches; translate designs into UI.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Proficient with Git, code review workflows, and Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong communication and teamwork; able to work with external partners.
• Bonus: API testing/tools (Postman/Swagger) and AI lifecycle exposure.

Responsibilities

• Architect microservices: bounded contexts, sync/async communication, API gateway patterns, service mesh, data ownership per service.
• Build backend services in Python with FastAPI or Django REST Framework — production-grade async APIs with Pydantic, OpenAPI contracts, versioning, and contract testing.
• Design data layers: PostgreSQL with SQLAlchemy 2.0 (async) and Alembic; MongoDB; Redis for caching/queues; vector stores. Implement indexing and event-driven consistency.
• Ship AI features: integrate LLMs (Anthropic, OpenAI, vLLM, Ollama); build RAG pipelines and manage prompts and inference.
• Collaborate with frontend & design: define API contracts via OpenAPI, generate typed clients, contribute to UI.
• Own DevOps & reliability: CI/CD (GitHub Actions), Docker, Kubernetes; observability with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, Sentry.
• Work cross-functionally with design, marketing, research, and EU consortium partners.
• Stay current with tooling (AI agents, MCP, edge inference, async Python) and evaluate pragmatically.
