Dimensional Fund Advisors seeks a Senior Python Engineer to join the Data Distribution team. You will help manage our enterprise data warehouse supporting research, portfolio management, trading, and analytics.

Design, build, test, and optimize scalable data services, and enhance pipelines with modern tools while focusing on security and reliability. You will collaborate with business analysts and IT to deliver data-driven solutions, grow with a dynamic team, and contribute to CI/CD improvements

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, CS or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 4–5 years of Python (open source) programming experience.
• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and web services.
• 4–5 years of SQL experience.
• Experience applying SOLID principles and Domain-Driven Design.
• Experience with high-performance, high-availability data applications.
• Automated acceptance testing; unit-tested, maintainable code.
• Strong cyber security awareness and secure coding practices.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum and waterfall software projects.

• Build and deliver data technology solutions for Research, Portfolio Management, Trading, Analytics, and Reporting.
• Design, develop, test, and deliver scalable data platform services.
• Collaborate with analysts, product owners, and project managers to define stories and plans.
• Work with minimal supervision; advise on technology capabilities and best practices.
• Improve data pipelines, ingestion, validation, quality control, and delivery.
• Write tests, contribute to documentation and engineering wiki, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot issues in data systems.
