Job summary

Sr. Software Engineer (Python) at T. Rowe Price in Baltimore, MD, is a hybrid role combining hands-on development with collaboration across Quants, Portfolio Managers, and Analysts to deliver timely, business-critical solutions.

You will design, develop, test, and deploy software for front-office applications, integrate with AWS-based services, REST/GRPC APIs, and contribute to CI/CD, quality through automated testing, and technology debt management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS, Fargate, Lambda, SNS, SQS, S3, DynamoDB, ALB, CloudFront, CloudWatch, IAM).
• Experience with Python frameworks and tools (NumPy, Pandas).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with multiple programming paradigms and software design patterns.
• Commitment to quality via automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Utilize internal tools to manage AWS-based services.
• Integrate with RESTful and GRPC APIs.
• Contribute to unit and integration testing and CI/CD maintenance.
