Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Jersey City seeks an experienced Engineer to develop Python-based data analytics and reporting solutions for Equities Trading. You will build automated reporting frameworks and transform market and trade data into actionable insights.

The role requires 10+ years of Python experience, deep knowledge of trading data, and collaboration with Front Office and Operations to ensure data accuracy and timely delivery. Hybrid work and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Python development experience.
• Strong hands-on Python development for scalable data processing.
• Experience with Equities trading data, market data and trade reporting systems.
• Proficient with Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, SQLAlchemy for data analysis.
• Expertise in SQL and relational databases for data extraction and reporting.
• Understanding of equities trading lifecycle, order management, execution and settlement.
• Experience building automated reporting, dashboards and analytics for stakeholders.
• Data validation, reconciliation and quality across trading and reporting platforms.
• Hands-on with ETL, data automation and workflow optimization.
• Experience handling large datasets in enterprise data platforms.
• Experience in Agile development environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging and troubleshooting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based solutions for Equities Trading analytics and reporting.
• Design and build automated reporting frameworks for timely business insights.
• Analyze trading and market datasets and transform data into reports and recommendations.
• Develop ETL processes to extract, transform and load data from various sources.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Trading, Operations, Risk and Finance to gather requirements.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of trading and market data through validation.
• Create dashboards, reports and analytics for stakeholders.
• Improve workflows through automation and continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot data issues and perform root-cause analysis for reporting discrepancies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain governance standards.
• Maintain technical documentation and cross-functional collaboration for data delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
