Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Jersey City, NJ is seeking an experienced Java Engineer to design, develop, and maintain trading applications in Capital Markets. You will work on core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices to support Equities trading and market data integration.

As part of an Agile team, you will collaborate with Front Office, Operations, Risk, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance trading solutions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Java development experience in Capital Markets, Equities Trading, or Financial Services environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in Core Java, Java 8/11+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices development.
• Experience developing and supporting applications for Equities Trading, Electronic Trading, OMS, EMS, or Trade Processing platforms.
• Strong understanding of Equities Trading workflows, trade lifecycle, order management, execution, allocation, and settlement processes.
• Experience with real-time market data, trade data, and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications supporting Equities Trading and Capital Markets operations.
• Build scalable and high-performance solutions for trade processing, order management, and market data integration.
• Develop microservices and REST APIs to support trading and reporting platforms.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Trading, Operations, Risk, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Integrate applications with market data providers, trading platforms, and internal systems.
