Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Jersey City seeks an experienced Engineer to develop Python-based data analytics and reporting solutions for Equities Trading. You will build automated reporting frameworks and transform market and trade data into actionable insights.

The role requires 10+ years of Python experience, deep knowledge of trading data, and collaboration with Front Office and Operations to ensure data accuracy and timely delivery. Hybrid work and competitive benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based solutions for Equities Trading analytics and reporting.
• Design and build automated reporting frameworks for timely business insights.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Python development, preferably within Capital Markets, Equities Trading, or Financial Services environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in Python development with the ability to build scalable data processing and reporting solutions.
• Experience working with Equities Trading data, market data, transaction data, and trade reporting systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, and SQLAlchemy for data analysis and processing.
• Expertise in SQL and working with relational databases for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of Equities Trading, trade lifecycle, market data, order management, execution, allocation, and settlement processes.
• Experience developing automated reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions for business stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and build automated reporting frameworks to deliver timely and accurate business insights.
• Analyze trading and market datasets and transform complex data into meaningful reports and actionable recommendations.
• Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple internal and external data sources.
• Work closely with Front Office, Trading, Operations, Risk, and Finance teams to understand business requirements.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of trading and market data through validation and reconciliation processes.
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions for business stakeholders.
• Optimize existing reporting and data processing workflows through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve reporting discrepancies.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure adherence to development and governance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data and reporting solutions supporting Equities Trading operations.
