Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Jersey City, NJ seeks an Engineer in Technology to develop Python-based data processing and reporting solutions for trading data, market data, and financial reporting systems. You will build automated reporting frameworks and dashboards to deliver timely insights and support frontline teams.

The role requires strong Python skills, experience with data libraries (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark), SQL and ETL, plus knowledge of trading lifecycles and data quality

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Python development for scalable data processing and reporting.
• Experience with trading/data/reporting systems and financial markets.
• Proficient in Python data libraries (Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, SQLAlchemy) for analysis and processing.
• Expertise in SQL and relational databases for data extraction, transformation and reporting.
• Experience building automated reporting, dashboards, and analytics for business stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of trading lifecycle and market data concepts.
• Experience in data validation, reconciliation, and ensuring data quality across platforms.
• Hands-on ETL, data automation, and workflow optimization experience.
• Proven experience in Agile development environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging and communication skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based solutions to support trading data analysis, reporting and operational processes.
• Design and build automated reporting frameworks to deliver timely and accurate business insights.
• Analyze trading datasets and transform data into meaningful reports and actionable recommendations.
• Develop ETL processes from multiple internal and external data sources.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Operations, Risk, and Finance to understand reporting requirements.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of trading and market data via validation and reconciliation.
• Create and maintain dashboards, reports and analytics for stakeholders.
• Improve reporting processes through automation and efficiency improvements.
• Troubleshoot data issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
