Job summary

Truelogic is seeking an experienced Senior Python Engineer for a high-impact, two-month engagement to accelerate the delivery of critical internal applications for a global audiobook and digital media client.

This technically full-stack role leans 70% backend with 30% frontend, focusing on modernizing internal platforms that power voice-talent workflows and title distribution. You will join a distributed global engineering team and ramp up quickly to deliver value.

Qualifications

• Senior-level software engineering experience focused on Python backend development.
• Proven expertise in designing, building, and maintaining microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud environments and services (ECS, S3, CodePipeline, CodeBuild).
• Extensive background in designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and scalable backend design principles.
• Ability to ramp up quickly and deliver value within existing production codebases.
• Excellent English communication skills for distributed teams.
• Proficiency in JavaScript with frontend exposure (React a plus).
• Experience in media, publishing, or content distribution platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performing backend services using Python.
• Build and enhance microservice-based applications for global content distribution workflows.
• Develop and integrate robust REST APIs connecting internal enterprise systems.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines using AWS.
• Troubleshoot and improve performance of existing backend services.
• Contribute to frontend development and UI functionality as needed.
• Collaborate with a distributed global engineering team to accelerate Q4 deliverables.
• Navigate a complex codebase quickly to contribute early.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions in an agile environment.
