Job summary

Valiant Technologies LLC in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Senior Python Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable, production-grade applications, data pipelines, APIs, and automation workflows.

The role focuses on Python and SQL, capital markets domain, and AI/GenAI capabilities, including agent orchestration, RAG, and MCP integrations, with emphasis on clean, maintainable code and robust architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, with significant relevant experience. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience developing Capital Markets solutions involving hedges, securities, derivatives, interest rates, and related financial products.
• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting production-grade applications.
• 8+ years of strong Python development experience, including: Object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Modular development and reusable components.
• Unit testing, packaging, and performance optimization.
• Writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
• 8+ years of SQL experience, including: Relational database design and data modeling.
• Data normalization, indexing, and joins.
• Query optimization and primary/foreign keys.
• SQL-based data pipelines.
• Strong experience designing and integrating REST APIs, services, automation workflows, and data processing jobs.
• Experience with data pipeline design, application architecture, IT architecture, or enterprise technology solution delivery.
• Ability to translate complex or ambiguous business requirements into technical specifications, architecture designs, and implementation plans.
• Front-end or UI development experience using Dash, Flask, React, Vue.js, Angular, or similar frameworks.
• Experience implementing AI/GenAI use cases, including: AI agent development and orchestration.
• Prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• MCP (Model Context Protocol) client/server integrations.
• Experience with mainstream AI tools, platforms, and frameworks.
