Job summary

Kaleidoscope, an Infosys Company, in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Python / Capital Markets to develop and modernize enterprise applications within Capital Markets and Treasury Technology.

You will build data pipelines, APIs, and backend services, develop dashboards with Dash/Flask, React, Angular, or Vue, and advance automation, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD with GitLab while mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience building and supporting enterprise applications.
• Strong hands-on Python development experience, including application design, testing, and performance optimization.
• Strong SQL expertise, including relational databases, complex queries, optimization, and data modeling.
• Experience designing and developing data pipelines, APIs, and enterprise application architectures.
• Experience with GitLab or similar CI/CD tools.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, application architecture, and production support.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable data pipelines, APIs, automation frameworks, and backend services.
• Build and enhance web applications, dashboards, and workflow tools using Dash/Flask, React, Angular, Vue, or similar frameworks.
• Modernize legacy applications and manual processes through automation and improved software architecture.
• Collaborate with Capital Markets, Treasury, Risk, Finance, and Technology teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support AWS cloud infrastructure, including ECS, EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, VPC, and Security Groups.
• Manage source control, automated testing, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Identify and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, and application defects.
• Explore and implement AI-driven solutions, including agentic workflows, RAG, and enterprise AI integrations.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, documentation, and mentorship to engineering teams.
