Job summary

Quantum Technologies. LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Python Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable production-grade applications, data pipelines, and APIs in Capital Markets.

The role emphasizes Python, SQL, and strong software architecture, with desirable experience in AI/GenAI, agent development, and MCP integration. You will translate business needs into technical solutions, collaborate across teams, and contribute to automation workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience developing Capital Markets solutions with hedges, securities, derivatives, interest rates, and related products.
• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• 8+ years of Python development experience with OOP, modular design, testing, packaging, and performance optimization.
• 8+ years of SQL experience with relational design, indexing, joins, query optimization, and data pipelines.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs, services, and automation workflows.
• Experience with data pipeline design and IT/enterprise architecture delivery.
• Front-end or UI development using Dash, Flask, React, Vue.js, Angular, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with AI/GenAI use cases: agent development, prompt engineering, RAG, MCP integrations.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Engineer with strong expertise in Python development, SQL, application architecture, and Capital Markets solutions. The ideal candidate will design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable, production-grade applications, data pipelines, APIs, and automation workflows.

Experience with AI/GenAI solutions, including agent development and orchestration, RAG, prompt engineering, and MCP integration, is highly desirable.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, with significant relevant experience. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience developing Capital Markets solutions involving hedges, securities, derivatives, interest rates, and related financial products.
• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting production-grade applications.
• 8+ years of strong Python development experience, including:
• Object-oriented programming and software design principles.
• Modular development and reusable components.
• Unit testing, packaging, and performance optimization.
• Writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
• 8+ years of SQL experience, including:
• Relational database design and data modeling.
• Data normalization, indexing, and joins.
• Query optimization and primary/foreign keys.
• SQL-based data pipelines.
• Strong experience designing and integrating REST APIs, services, automation workflows, and data processing jobs.
• Experience with data pipeline design, application architecture, IT architecture, or enterprise technology solution delivery.
• Ability to translate complex or ambiguous business requirements into technical specifications, architecture designs, and implementation plans.
• Front-end or UI development experience using Dash, Flask, React, Vue.js, Angular, or similar frameworks.
• Experience implementing AI/GenAI use cases, including:
• AI agent development and orchestration.
• Prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• MCP (Model Context Protocol) client/server integrations.
• Experience with mainstream AI tools, platforms, and frameworks.
