Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Commercial & Investment Bank - Data Analytics team in Houston. You will design and deliver scalable, secure software solutions, working with data scientists to host ML models on cloud platforms and ensure production-ready deployments.

You will collaborate across engineering, platform teams and applied AI/ML groups, applying best practices in SDLC, security, and reliability while contributing to a variety of modern ML-enabled projects.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proven hands-on experience in Python application development.
• Experience using enterprise AI-assisted development tools with ability to evaluate, validate, and refine outputs for correctness, performance, and security.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Creates secure, production-ready code and maintains algorithms.
• Leverages AI-assisted tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity.
• Applies SDLC tools to improve automation and value realization.
• Develops and maintains high-quality, secure applications using Python and AWS.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
