Job summary

JPMorganChase & Co. in Plano, TX is hiring a Software Engineer III to join the AI/ML & Data Platforms team. You will design and deliver trusted, secure, scalable software products as part of an agile team.

You will work across multiple tech areas, contribute to architecture, data visualizations, and improve coding hygiene, with strong emphasis on responsible AI and enterprise tooling.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 3+ years of hands-on experience.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with ability to evaluate AI outputs for correctness, performance and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
• Knowledgeable of AWS Data Management arena such as Glue, EMR, Athena, Redshift, and Lake Formation
• Proficient in Python or Java, and database query languages for applications development, debugging, and maintenance in a large corporate environment
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Overall solid knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with the ability to tackle non-routine problems.
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run with appropriate systems.
• Leverages enterprise AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, with peer review and secure coding standards.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge, including enterprise AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to enhance automation value.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met by code.
• Gathers, analyzes, and visualizes data from large datasets for continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
• Proactively identifies hidden data patterns to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
