Job summary

Victory Live, a private equity-backed technology company, seeks a Sr. Software Engineer to own critical Python and FastAPI services. You will drive architecture, write the hardest code, and elevate the team’s AI tooling fluency.

You’ll mentor engineers, lead complex migrations, and shape scalable backend systems while championing reliability, observability, and rapid, quality delivery across live event ticketing platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production software in Python and FastAPI
• Sound architectural decisions in Python services and writing tradeoffs
• Strong backend/API design for distributed services
• Mentorship experience helping teammates grow in production environments
• Fluent use of AI tooling across design, code, test, and review

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of in-depth initiatives from planning to launch with product and tech leadership
• Rewrite or migrate hard FastAPI services and data pipelines
• Contribute to architecture discussions and write design docs
• Mentor mid-level and junior engineers, including AI tooling fluency
• Drive process improvements and reduce recurring pain in workflow
• Build AI-native tooling and agentic workflows to accelerate the team
• Review code on PRs across the team and other projects
• Operate cleanly in production and lead incident postmortems
