Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a senior Python engineer to design and deliver scalable software for video infrastructure, leveraging 5+ years with Python and hands-on SDVI Rally, CI/CD practices, and cloud platforms.

You'll develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot, containerize with Docker and Kubernetes, and work with AWS, Grafana, Prometheus to monitor and optimize systems.

Remote role with a global team; strong problem-solving, collaboration, and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing software systems, providing timely resolutions and enhancements.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Document software designs, implementation details, and troubleshooting procedures for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of video encoding/transcoding technologies and standards, such as MPEG-DASH and HLS, is a plus.
• Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Strong proficiency in the Python programming language, with 5+ years of expertise in developing scalable and efficient software solutions.
• Expertise in SDVI Rally
• Expertise in CI/CD practices and their implementation
• Working experience with Spring Boot and Prometheus
• Practical experience with Amazon Web Services and Grafana
• Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of computer networks
• Experience with automation of unit/functional/integrated tests
• Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Experience with MAM and/or CMS would be a huge plus

Note: GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role, to be performed remotely, to be $120,000 to $130,000 and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good-faith estimate, and the amount offered may be higher or lower.
