Dimensional Fund Advisors is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join the Data Distribution team. You will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data platforms supporting Research, Portfolio Management, Trading, Analytics, and Reporting.

You will collaborate across functions, implement high-performance data solutions, and contribute to security-focused engineering practices and testing. A strong emphasis on modern data tooling and SDLC is expected.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, computer science, or related field, or equivalent.
• 4-5 years of Python programming experience.
• Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and web services.
• 4-5 years of SQL experience.
• Experience applying SOLID principles and Domain Driven Design.
• Experience with high performance and high availability data applications.
• Experience with automated testing and maintainable code.
• Strong understanding of cyber security risks and secure development.
• Experience in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams with SDLC focus.

Mansioni

• Build and maintain data distribution services for Research, Portfolio Management, Trading, Analytics and Reporting.
• Design, develop, test, and deliver data technology solutions balancing speed and quality.
• Collaborate with analysts, product owners, and project managers on requirements and plans.
• Work with minimal supervision and advise on technology capabilities to maximize benefits.
• Identify and improve data pipelines across ingestion, validation, storage, and delivery.
• Write unit/integration tests and contribute to engineering docs.
• Build scalable data-transfer toolsets and ensure data freshness and caching as needed.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines; participate in code and design reviews.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and production-system support.
