Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Senior Python Data Engineer for Healthcare EMR/EHR integrations. You will design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines that extract clinical data from diverse EMR/EHR systems and load into a centralized HIPAA-compliant database.

You will work with MySQL schemas, REST APIs, and health data standards such as FHIR and HL7, while leveraging AI-assisted coding tools. English proficiency is essential, with 100% remote collaboration across time zones.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data engineering experience with Python.
• Hands-on experience working with EMR/EHR data from multiple sources.
• Strong MySQL schema design, indexing, and query tuning.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON/XML, FHIR, and HL7.
• Daily use of AI-assisted coding tools and ability to validate AI output.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and build automated ETL/ELT pipelines for EMR/EHR data.
• Load extracted data into HIPAA-compliant database.
• Design MySQL schemas for performance and scalability.
• Integrate with REST APIs and healthcare data standards (FHIR/HL7).
• Use AI-assisted coding tools in daily development and verify outputs.
• Troubleshoot and maintain pipelines as new sources onboard.
