Job summary

ClickHouse is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Python and the Data Ecosystem. This role is a core contributor responsible for owning and evolving key Python integrations, SDKs, and connectors that empower data engineers and data scientists to harness ClickHouse’s speed at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience including Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or ML Engineer.
• Proven experience building production-grade Python connectors, SDKs, or integrations.
• Hands-on AI/ML in production data engineering: embedding, vector search, feature pipelines, or LLM tooling.
• Strong Python data ecosystem knowledge: Pandas, NumPy, Pydantic.
• Solid SQL knowledge and OLAP data modeling.
• Experience with concurrent Python: threading, multiprocessing, async.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; collaboration with open-source communities.
• Product-facing/platform role experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve ClickHouse’s Python connector and SDK ecosystem.
• Build integrations with Airflow, Dagster, Prefect and dbt to enterprise standards.
• Drive AI/LLM integration strategy for RAG, ML pipelines, and AI apps.
• Engage with open-source community: triage issues, support contributors, shape roadmap.
• Collaborate with Product, Cloud, and other teams to align integration work.
• Guide roadmap decisions based on real-world data engineer and data scientist workflows.
